The 2023 ReDLat Annual Meeting took place on 1-2 February 2024 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This annual gathering served as a pivotal platform, bringing together key members of the ReDLat leadership and coordination teams, featuring representation from each participating institution with the support of the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), the Cognitive Neuroscience Center (CNC) at the Universidad San Andrés as host (UDESA), and the Latin American Brain Health Institute (BrainLat) at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI).

The event marked the unveiling of significant milestones as the ReDLat consortium proudly presented the kick-off of three groundbreaking projects: the Language Grant, the Circadian Grant, and the Epigenetics Grant. These initiatives represent a bold step forward in advancing research and development within the consortium, aiming to contribute to the broader field of neuroscience in the region.

The two days of intensive collaboration and strategic planning were not confined to closed-door sessions among scientists. The ReDLat Annual Meeting concluded with a spectacular public event and an artistic exhibition held at the iconic Palacio Barolo, a historical landmark in the heart of Buenos Aires. This event served as a conduit to disseminate the key outcomes of the project and underscore the importance of brain health to the public.

With over 140 participants in attendance, including esteemed representatives from the neuroscientific and public sectors in Argentina, the public event at Palacio Barolo fostered meaningful dialogue and showcased the potential impact of ReDLat’s initiatives on society. The interactive exhibition provided a tangible glimpse into the consortium’s endeavors, creating a bridge between cutting-edge research and public awareness.

The ReDLat Annual Meeting 2023 not only solidified collaborative efforts among the different sites but also underscored the consortium’s commitment to patient engagement, and the advancement of neuroscientific knowledge and awareness.
