Abstract:This Opinion explores the potential of blood-based biomarkers to improve Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis while highlighting the challenges of applying them across diverse populations. It emphasizes the need for context-aware interpretation that accounts for social and environmental exposures, comorbidities, and healthcare system capacity to support equitable and reliable implementation, particularly in underrepresented regions such as Latin America.
